Step #1 is delivering to the court clerk the proper paperwork. There’s basic information in the initial paperwork to identify parties and one’s formal request for a divorce. It kicks off a 60 day “cooling off” time. The court has one or two goals each time somebody files for divorce. Goal #1 is property division and goal #2 is child custody. If you have an agreement with your spouse you can get a Dallas divorce in about 90 days. It's that simple.
